1. Independent Status

STT-Status is an independent, community-driven platform. We are not affiliated with, authorized, maintained, sponsored, or endorsed by Cyril E. King Airport (STT), the Virgin Islands Port Authority, or any commercial airline. All information on this site is crowdsourced from travelers on the ground.

2. Information We Collect

We prioritize user privacy by collecting as little data as possible to run the service:

• Anonymous Identifier:We generate a random unique ID (UUID) stored entirely inside your browser's local storage to identify your device. This allows you to delete your own posts and helps enforce our posting limits. We do not link this ID to your physical identity, name, or phone.
• Crowdsourced Reports: When you submit a status update, we store the options you selected (e.g., traffic conditions, wait times, AC status) along with the timestamp.
• Feed Submissions: If you post a note or snap a picture, the text and image are uploaded and stored in our database and storage buckets to be displayed on the public feed.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location coordinates (GPS data), or any other personally identifiable information (PII).

4. Photo Retention Policy

Images uploaded to the community feed are automatically deleted from our servers 24 hours after they are posted. This automatic clean-up keeps the platform lightweight and respects travelers' privacy.

5. Safe Harbor & Content Moderation

All posts on the feed are user-generated. Under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (and local safe harbor regulations), STT-Status acts as an interactive service provider and is not liable for third-party posts. If you see inappropriate or incorrect content, please click the ⚑ Flag button, and our moderators will review it.
